CRLEAA Treasurer Concludes Dedicated Term of Service

Mr. John Vail, Accreditation Manager for the Kent County Sheriff's Office, concluded his two
year distinquished term as Treasurer for CRLEAA in December 2006.  Mr. Vail was
dramatically  instrumental in advancing the Association's fiscal status and fiscal
management.  CRLEAA extends gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Vail.
Carroll County Sheriff's Office Becomes Accredited!

Sgt. Phil Kasten led the Carroll County Sheriff's Office through it's first (very successful)
Accreditation On-Site.  Watch for the Carroll County Sheriff's Office to receive initial
Accreditation at the July CALEA Conference in Lexington, Kentucky.

New Accreditation Manager

Cpl. Randy Snearly has returned to an Accreditation Role within the Laurel City Police.  They
recently completed an On-Site and will appear before the Commission in Colorado Springs.

New Accreditation Manager

In May, Lt. Eric Keenan became the new Accreditation Manager for the U.S. Capitol Police.  
He will be working with Officer Emmanuel Warren.  The agency was re-accredited in
Jacksonville, Florida.

Changes in Anne Arundel County Accreditation Management

Long time CRLEAA member, Lt. Joe Jordan has been promoted to Captain and moved on to
a new assignment within the Anne Arundel County Police.  
Corporal Beth Miller has been
named the new Accreditation Manager.  Ms.
Susan Hood will continue as the Accreditation
Coordinator.

Congratulations to Captain Jordan, Corporal Miller and Ms. Hood.
New CALEA Program Manager

Ms. Maya Mitchell has been named as the interim Program Manager at CALEA to fill the
vacancy left by Ted LeMay's retirement on November 30th.
